<p>Solid-state batteries are expected to solve some problems originating from liquid electrolytes, which are usually used in batteries. Such studies are accelerated recently, because solid-state batteries are regarded as a good choice for EV application. This paper shows the features of solid-state batteries, which make them the good choice, and recent progress toward practical application.</p>
