- Peridynamics Simulation with General Purpose CAE Software

<p>Recently, Peridynamics proposed by Stewart Silling in 2000 is studied by many researchers, because it is able to treat the discontinuity of crack surface for failure or crack propagation phenomenon without special technique such as Fracture Mechanics. On the other hand, it has been thought that it is diffucult to implement into general purpose CAE software because there is no affinity for boundary condition or contact condition with conventional Finite Element Method.In this paper, I report some validation case with general purpose CAE software named LS-DYNA which is developed by LSTC that has become possible to divert a boundary condition or contact condition of Finite Element Method with discontinous galerkin method.</p>
