Abstract
<p>Usually, driving steel pile was controlled based on the dynamic bearing capacity of the foundation evaluated following the specifications. However, the capacity is just only one index for driving the pile because the static capacity for design use has not been specified. Even though the static capacity can be evaluated by analyzing the impact force occurred at driving the pile, the method has still been sophisticated and has not been customized for practical use. Here a simple and practical method for evaluating the static bearing capacity of the foundation was proposed, and the applicability was verified comparing with the field test results.</p>
