Abstract
The International Dark-Sky Association has released a press that concerns over light including the spectrum with short wavelength of 440 to 460 nm at night affects human health through stimulation of the circadian system. This report reviews the results of quantitative evaluations on melatonin suppression of the impact of spectral distribution of the sources applied to outdoor lighting, including the measurement data in Japanese metropolitan area.
