Abstract
<p>A plane strain stress yield function which is described by multi-segment spline curve is presented. This yield function is able to consider an arbitrary number of multi-axial stress states and their directions of plastic strain rate by using interpolation based on Bézier curves. The planar anisotropy is described by basis function of cubic spline. By using the proposed model, anisotropic properties of a sheet metal are captured flexibly and precisely. To show the applicability of the yield function, the proposed yield function was implemented to a commercial FEA cord, and applied to a sheet metal forming simulation.</p>
