<p>To investigate accuracy of mass transfer coefficients estimated by the Lewis relation, we have calculated numerically mass concentration of laminar moist airflow between two parallel plates whose surface temperature is kept constant and that are covered with stationary water vapor condensate with uniform thickness. Comparing a mass transfer coefficient obtained by the present numerical analysis with that estimated by the Lewis relation, we evaluated the estimation accuracy of the Lewis relation. As a result, it was found that the mass transfer coefficient estimated by the Lewis relation is nearly Lewis-number times as large as that obtained by the mass concentration gradient in the direction perpendicular to the channel wall under the calculation conditions of the present study.</p>
