Abstract

This research, a part of the COC Programs of National Institute of Technology, Hiroshima Campus, has investigated for 2 years about local place names or folklores connected with natural disasters in Osaki-Kami-Jima to prevent such disasters. The Contents of Investigations are tentative Investigations, carrying out Poll of the Residents and field Surveys. I sort out Subjects that have emerged, aim at utilizing future research.
