Abstract

Chinese women rank the top in the list of international marriages between Japanese men and foreign women. Yet few researches have been focused on Chinese women. At the same time, the previous researches mainly centered on cases of foreign women married to rural Japan, ignoring those who married to the city. This research expounds on Chinese women marrying to Japanese cities. By comparing with the problems in the rural marriage, the paper comes to the conclusion that Chinese women who marry to Japanese cities have no substantial problems in communication with their husbands, though, have significant stress in interpersonal communication, cultural gap, discrimination and job hunting, and so on.
