Active applications of media and Information and Communication Technology have proved to be significant for improving classroom environment of the Faculty of Foreign Studies at Kyorin University. Their efforts are of the comprehensive nature rather than those of the individual faculty member, by promoting the practical use of nine different kinds of media and ICT as a whole. These efforts have proved to be effective to curtail the instructor's burden for the class preparation. At the same time, they have resulted in stimulating the desire for studies on the part of the students. It is widely acknowledged that media and ICT are essential business skills and tools in the real world. Therefore, we need to improve each tool and system more user-friendly to bring about an even greater educational effect. Our faculty aims at promoting these media and ICT as an integral part of pedagogical tools. Nevertheless, it goes without saying that our efforts need to go through the careful evaluation periodically. We are certain that our continuous efforts in active applications of media and ICT to the curriculum will surely contribute to the further development of FD (faculty development) and SD (staff development) as well.
