<p>Five brachyuran species, Ebaliopsis erosa (A. Milne-Edwards, 1873), Aulacolambrus hoplonotus (Adams & White, 1849), Certolambrus pugilator (A. Milne-Edwards, 1873), Thalamita bouvieri Nobili, 1906, and Paramedaeus octogesimus Ng & Clark, 2002, were reported on the basis of specimens obtained from Chichijima Island, Ogasawara Islands, south Japan. This report includes the first specimen-based record of Paramedaeus octogesimus in Japanese waters.</p>
