Description
<p>The road tunnel is equipped with the ventilation system and the fixed fire-fighting system to respond to a vehicle fire. We verify the effect of these equipments on a vehicle fire by numerical simulation. The numerical simulation requires heat release rate. However, there are few experimental data on the heat release rate when using the fixed fire-fighting system.</p><p>In this paper, we report the results of fire experiments on small-scale fire trays and small vehicles to capture the heat release rate when using the fixed fire-fighting system. we also report the correlation between the CO concentration and smoke concentration measured and the heat release rate.</p>
