<p>I comment why learning geography is important for disaster mitigation from the following three points of view.</p><p>1. Reconsideration concerning disaster prevention in living areas saturated with artifacts in the Anthropocene.</p><p>2. Necessity of systematic geographical education for more resilient disaster mitigation with a flexible mindset.</p><p>3. Geographical disaster mitigation education as a challenge for improving the relationship between human society and natural environment.</p>
