Description

In recent years, we have started to see many exhibitions, research, etc. employ the sense of touch, the sense said to be the most primitive among our five senses, as their viewpoint. The cause lies in the current situation where policies of virtual and interactive system development, disability understanding, inclusive education, and so forth, with the sense of touch as their keyword, are making progress. On the other hand, many modern-era sculptors work on their expressions while having their sense of touch stimulated; in addition to the sculpture form, the feel of the material, the texture, and so forth are also important molding factors behind sculpture appreciation. From these causes, works, accounts, etc. of modern-era sculptors and designers and accounts of art critics, this paper hope to study the relationship between modern examples of art appreciation that relied on the sense of touch and the effectiveness of sculptor appreciation by the means of the sense of touch in practice.
