Abstract

By estimating angular distributions of directional scattering in liquid-crystal (LC) devices for Arc 3D display, angular distributions are confirmed to be controlled by tip shapes of LC prisms. In order to obtain design guideline for LC devices, estimated angular distributions of directional scattering with tip shapes of 35 degrees by changing input direction and LC device slope have the same tendency to calculation results.
