Description

The number of patients in the psychiatric field are increasing. In this situation, the shortage of doctors and other medical professionals has become a serious social problem. Task shifting has become an issue, but considering a shortage of not only doctors but also other professions, task shifting is difficult. Expectations of task shifting to robots are high. However, currently, there are few reports on robotics research in the field of psychiatry, except for developmental disorders and the elderly person. In this session, we will report on the practice of symbiosis of robots and psychiatric patients in a psychiatric group home.
