Abstract

<p>This study aimed to clarify the progress and issues of community care conferences and explore the effective ways of fulfilling the function of the conferences. Establishing community-based integrated community care system is an urgent issue in the regions with the aging population. The conferences have been held mainly by community general support centers to support care managers, build a community support network, grasp community issues, and develop community-based integrated care system, which was stipulated in the Long-term Care Insurance Law.</p><p>An anonymous questionnaire survey was conducted of all the professional staff of community general support centers who participated in the conference. The question items included basic attributes, basic understanding of the conference, debriefing of the conference, obstacles to the management of the conference, and results achieved from the conference.</p><p>The results showed that self-efficacy had become an important factor in promoting a common understanding among participants. Among participants a concept of multidisciplinary for problem solving was shared. But they had not understanding enough at the level that can explain the purpose and importance of the conference to other participants.</p>
