• Evaluation of Frequency Response of Pressure-Sensitive Paint to Sound Pressure Fluctuation

抄録

An experimental study on the frequency response of pressure-sensitive paint (PSP) is conducted. In the present study, frequency response obtained from the change in PSP emission intensity, compared with the pressure fluctuation obtained from pressure sensor, was obtained inside an acoustic resonance tube at the speaker drive frequency of 790 Hz. The experimental results before and after oxygen partial pressure adjustment (filled with nitrogen) in the resonance tube were compared. As a result of the experiments, the ratio of the peak value of FFT analysis result after oxygen partial pressure adjustment to that before adjustment of oxygen partial pressure was 1.27. The emission intensity and pressure sensitivity of PSP were better when the acoustic resonance tube was filled with nitrogen. The phase delay of the PSP emission intensity change, with respect to the pressure sensor, is 0.546 ms before oxygen partial pressure adjustment and that is 0.451 ms after adjustment of oxygen partial pressure. The result indicates that the frequency response of PSP was increased by adjusting oxygen partial pressure. Same experiments will be conducted using PSPs [Ru (dpp)3, PtTFPP, PtOEP and PdTFPP] with or without binder (Poly (IBM)) to evaluate the frequency response and find the most suitable PSP, which can be made into pressure-sensitive capsule to measure the spatial pressure distribution.
