Abstract

<p> This study sought to determine the information literacy needed in Japanese school education. Fifty-three employees from two major Japanese IT companies completed a questionnaire focused on the possible information literacy that could be included in future school curricula. The analysis found that “information morality and security” skills were considered the most important and that it would be best to develop these qualities and skills in the early stages of compulsory education.</p>
