Abstract

Duo to the effects of climate change, it is predicted that river flow conditions will change in the future. For example, the potential water resources (annual precipitation minus annual evapotranspiration) of the Yodo River basin are projected to decrease in the future. It is indispensable to consider the contribution of water resource development by dams etc. in predicting future river flow conditions in Japan, but it is not realistic to investigate the dam operation rules of dams nationwide and reflect them in the flow condition analysis. Therefore, in this study, focusing on the Yodo River basin where water resources were developed at 80 m3/s, we create a newly designed dam operation model that faithfully reflects the actual dam operation especially during low water and use it as a land water cycle analysis model.
