Abstract
type:P(論文)
Up to the present time, the basic goal of education for deaf children has been scquistion of vocal language. Developmental acances of the hearing aid have historicaly supported this. Today, cochlear implants are a new medical technology that takes deaf children into a vocal world. Within the medical model hearing impairment contimues to be evaluatend as a pathological condition. However, there are alternative choices available, such as social models from sociology, anthropology, linguistics. This paper argues against the medical model regarding the education of deaf children from conceptual views of linguistic captal and bioethics.
