Description

type:P(論文)

I have examined the cohesion of Pss. 135-137, non-superscription-Psalms, which form the small unit, that is, Kleingruppe. Many commentators, such as K.Seybold, M.Goulder, E.Zenger and A.Auffret, have discussed on the vocabulary-sequence between Pss. 135 and 136, but not between Pss. 135-136 and 137. I have criticized them and proposed to consider the cohesion between Pss. 135-137. I have pointed out that the context of Pss. 135-137 has heightened an attack against their enemies and changed Zion and Jerusalem, temple-vocabulary as a place of the pilgrimage and worship, to an object of worship. According to Seybold the Urtext of Ma'alot Psalms were written by layman pilgrims. Seybold has considered that the pilgrims have not strikingly criticized their enemies and not strictly emphasized significance of the temple theology, but the priest psalmists had revised the Urtext. Connecting with Pss. 135-137, the redactors of the Psalter have attempted to modify the massage of Ma'alot Psalms in the final stage of the redaction. Their purpose was, I have suggested, to understand problems of the nationalistic religion and finally to lead the readers to de-temple-ideology in contextual reading of succeeding Psalms.
