Description

This study analyzed the topics in conversations in contact situations. As a result it is revealed that things such as the place from which the foreign students came staying in Japan campus life and so on tend to be the topics regardless of the group. On the basis of this data topic schema in contact situations is pointed out. Furthermore these topics were found to be introduced by Japanese students. Based on these results the possible usefulness of introducing topic scheme for reducing anxieties which foreign students have about conversations with Japanese students is discussed.
