抄録

The purpose of this paper is to consider the principle of a child who is selected in Japanese lesson study. The child called “TYUSHUTUJI” in Japan. This word means extracted child when translating literally into English. But, we call him or her “clue child” in this paper. The clue child was often used also in scientific lesson study also in practical lesson study in Japan. Clue child is one important feature of lesson study in Japan, and it is experientially recognized to be effective in the study. However, it has not been explained the reason to use clue child for enough. It is because the methodical basing is not enough. So, this research considers clue child’s principle through comparison with target child selected in special support education. The viewpoints of the comparison are a standard of selection, and the state of description of a profile. The nest became clear as a result of the comparison. From comparison of the standard of selection, clue child has a principle of relativity and autonomy to target child having a principle of absoluteness and objectivity. From comparison of description of a profile, clue child has a principle of concreteness, relevance, and totality to target child having a principle of abstractness, independency, and portion nature. As the future subject around clue child, there are a problem of a practice level and problems of a scientific level. The former is a problem of relation between means and purpose in the educational practice, and a problem of scientific investigation of the educational practice relevant to qualitative research.
