抄録

This study aims to identify measures to improve the living environment of Single-person households and university students in areas around the campus by examining the present conditions and efforts taken by the universities where the campus plan is carried out. The small-scale housing where single-person households and University students could live are quasi dwellings, dormitory, and Urban-life-housing according to the analysis based on the law and planning survey, the field survey and the hearing survey. Governments and universities have built dormitories to supply student housing. But it was difficult due to the opposition from the local residents. Small-scale housing for single-person households are located in mixed-use residential areas with commercial and business facilities, and they lack parking lots and the buildings are deteriorating. In order to improve the living environment of the single-person households in the surrounding area if university campuses; improving the pedestrian safety, living environment improvements, promotion of mixed use of the building, efforts for connection, and cooperation is necessary.
