抄録

Rapid progress of ICT (Information Communication Technology) and the change in the information environment can bring about a revolution of the business environment. It is expected and can be assumed that a major revolution will occur in cloud computing, with a consequent change from a paradigm of “possession” to one of “use.” “The world needs only five computers” is a famous expression of the impact cloud computing will have. An ultimate goal of cloud computing is globalization through centralization of wisdom and the promotion of even, uniform management of information. This paper will first define cloud computing and confirm its essential characteristics, thus clarifying the present state of cloud computing. The problem of introducing cloud computing into management practices at the corporate level and the tensions which result from this will also be examined.
