Description

The degree of student satisfaction after obtaining a desired job (Yasuda, 1999) was investigated. Semi-structured interviews were conducted with university students in their fourth year, who had finished job hunting (n=10). They were asked about any changes thy made in the course of their job hunting and the degree of satisfaction they had with the job they ultimately found. The results suggested new hypotheseis including “an increase in the number of desired jobs,” and “matching a person to a company.” As a result the model developed by Yasuda (1999) was modified and a new model was developed based on “change in job desired,” increase in number of desired jobs,” and “matching with a company.” The implications of this new model are discussed.
