In this paper. the word "decoration" is used to refer to an order of symbols representing the power of the God, religious authorities or secular authorities. The Renaissance broke down the hierarchy of these symbols by introducing a new order, a mechanical method referred to as "perspective." Gutenberg's printing technology also broke down the representational order in another way, by deconstructing the symbol itself into a series of signs. By accurately producing a huge number of copies in a short time, the printing press robbed the concept of the nature and of the person of their symbolic meaning and broke them into fragments. During the religious Reformation and era of industrialization, certain signs representing fragments of equal value, had to be reorganized into a rational, linear system in order to function successfully. The configuration that resulted from this reorganization was the origin of design in industrial term. Thonet's system of production and product is an example of this. However, in the context of industrialization, maintaining and protecting the rational system should be the end of the system itself. Human beings. who should hold a symbolic meaning, can be deconstructed to a fragment without being reorganized.
