Description

The object of this paper is to clarify and to analysis physical education teachers' role in modern senior high schools. Through this work, we can say that physical education teachers are recognized as student guidance teachers (such as "protector" or "watchdog" for the schools) and leaders for club activities (and officers of sports association for school students) in the schools. We can also clear their thought and true intention ("Honne") and structure of their role (that is forced to them) in the schools. Under that structure, while physical education teacher are staff for teaching physical education, they have to take roles as student guidance teachers and leaders for club activities and they cannot play enough role as subject teachers.
