Abstract

In the 30th fiscal year of Heisei (2017-2018), as a cooperative project of Hyogo Prefectural Harima High School and Kyoto University, a project related to mathematics was carried out for the teachers of the Department of Mathematics of the high school. Centered on the teaching methods in mathematics, and with the aim of supporting leadership improvement, this project promoted concrete practice methods focusing on class development through lecture and research consultation. In "voluntary motivation" brought about spontaneously and naturally through curiosity and interest in activities, we find value and meaning in learning and consider a methodology toautonomously and ambitiously tackle mathematics problems. In this paper, which deals with "the methodology of classroom development for students" for the independent motivation of mathematics in secondary education, questions and topics such as "Why do you study mathematics?", "What kind of study is mathematics?", and "How active learning is developed in high school mathematics lessons" will be considered. We feel it is necessary to improve lessons taught by teachers and the overall quality of education at secondary schools in Japan. Mathematics education is also at a major turning point, and further improvement is indispensable from an international perspective. Based on these issues, I would like to continue my research.
