Abstract

Japanese trend to the Sin-hai-kê-ming 辛亥革命 has been mainly examined in the aspects of the foreign policy, loan problems and public opinion. This article traces the Japanese policy including the Japanese situation at the end of the Meiji 明治 era, and the trend of the army and officials cited from the Yamagata's 山県 and Katsura's 桂 documents. In short, the confusion of the policy was brought by the difference between the Katsura and the Saionji 西園寺 Cabinets, the precausion of the powers against Japan, and the diet power or the pressure of the public opinion which grew critical to the clique of military officials, which is a miniature of the Japanese power structure at the end of the Meiji 明治 era.
