This paper analyzes financing for content production, especially for the film industry. One of the major financing methods in the current Japanese film industry is "Seisaku iinkai." Although new methods have been introduced in recent times, they have not been successful. The task of raising money from the Japanese financial market has proved to be difficult. On the other hand, there are methods like "negative pickup" used in the United States. Film producers in the United States can provide huge sums of money to produce films. By comparing various financing methods used in the United States, this paper attempts to clarify that which is necessary to diversify the manner in which Japanese films can be financed. Further, this paper identifies the need for introducing a bond that is complete and in harmony with the Japanese film industry.
