This study examined the distinction skill of object belongs to in-group in Indian people by using the ikat which is a traditional craft as experimental stimuli. 31 participants conducted the visual distinction task composed 4 types of the ikat( India vs. Mexico vs. Kurume( Japan) vs. Ryukyu( Japan))that they judge which country the stimulus belongs to. The results showed that Indian people could identify correctly Indian stimuli as Indian textile, and that correct response rate was significantly higher than the other kinds of stimuli. In addition, knowledge of textile had effect on discrimination ability. The experts recognized Indian stimuli more precise. There is a possibility that object which has cultural feature like Ikat induce in-group bias for native people. The direction of future research used cultural object is discussed, and which suggests the potentiality integrated psychology and cultural anthropology interdisciplinary.
