Reexamining the process of writing Colonial Rule in Taiwan in World History—From the Perspective of the Tainan Presbyterian Middle School (2015) , this paper have considered important points to update the historical image concerned with Japanese colonial rule in Taiwan through dialogue with the British history, and maintained that it is necessary to define the analytical concept such as the "colonialism" "racism" in the form that is applicable to both the British history and Japanese history, and also to place a tension over the self-government of Taiwanese church as a part of the situations that British missionaries met with in all parts of the world.
