Abstract

This article seeks to clarify the theoretical basis and the empirical method of social innovation studies, and to try to identify specific research guidelines of planning and practicing social innovation. We analyse significant related theories from various academic fields, and examine the methods of planning, conducting and evaluating social experiments. The purpose of this article is to establish the foundation for the development of the social innovation studies.
