Robot assisted activity (RAA) using robotic pet ; AIBO (ERS-7, SONY ERC) and electroencephalogram (EEG) measurement was carried out for dementia elderly (11 patients aged 60 - 97)in nursing home in order to estimate positiveeffect of RAA. Neuroactivity diagram was derived from EEG data by using` Dimension'( BFL; Brain Function Lab.). It was found that the improvement of neuroactivity was measured after RAA using remote controlled robot. We also investigatedneuroactivity change for normal young subjects in same conditions, and results showed that RAA was not effective for young patients (6 persons aged 22). It was concluded that RAA was good influenced on dementia elderly by the consideration ofneuroactivity change.
