Appropriate protection of intellectual property rights is important for WTO as well as Japan and other countries, which aim to build the intellectual property power, and, at the same time, the problem of counterfeit goods and pirated products is the serious for these countries because it results in their economic loss, causes the people, the enterprises and the countries harm, and leads to trade issues around the world. The problem comes mainly from Asian countries and areas, especially in China, the country which has the largest counterfeit goods and pirated products factories and markets. In this paper, we survey this problem mainly in China, analyze the causes of it, and suggest the administrative and judicial solutions. In addition, in terms of trade issues, we not only introduce the efforts of Japanese government, including Ministry of Economy, Trade and Industry, Patent Office, custom office and other government ministries and offi ces, but also present a vision for the problem, in order to solve it.
