Abstract

type:text

Among many vassals who served Nobeoka feudal load in Hyuga Province, Masayori Naito and his wife, who was later to become Jushin-in, this study attempts to reveal who mainly supported the irprivate life including those who acted as companion for Masayori in his childhood, who served as a personal physician, who were involved in the coming-of-age ceremony and their wedding, and who served the wife. First, I introduce the vassals who had deep relationship with Masayori, the Imamura and Ito families. Then, dividing Masayori's life into four stages: child hood/boyhood, adolescence, later years, and after death, I identify who had relationship with him or his wife in each stage, what were their duties, and how long they served. In this article, I especially wrote on the vassals who had deep relationship with Masayori and those who served in his childhood/boyhood.
