日本における大学競技スポーツは,個別の学生連盟組織のもと種目間のつながりのないまま活動している。そこで本研究では,アメリカの大学競技スポーツ統括団体であるNCAAと友添(早稲田大学)が提案した日本の大学スポーツ改革のための5項目を参考に,今後の日本における大学競技スポーツ組織の在り方について検討することを目的とし,日本の大学競技スポーツにおける統括団体の必要性を明らかにした。

Every collegiate athletic organizations in Japan has no connections with each other. and there are a lot of problems, for example, it is unpopular excluding a part of item, there is a difference in the game qualification, and more. The purpose of this study was to examine what should be of the Japanese collegiate athletic organization referring to NCAA that American generalized organization of the collegiate athletics and Mr.Tomozoe's five suggestions,and the necessity of generalized organization of Japanese collegiate athletics was clarified. Especially the purpose of this study was to examine the following topics:1. The problem that collegiate athletics have.2. Mr.Tomozoe's five suggestions and consideration to that.3. The future of generalized collegiate athletic organizations in Japan(1) Organizational structure(2) Organizational purposes
