本事例は大学の学生相談機関で行ったものである。クライエントは大学入学直後に学生相談機関を訪れた。彼は2年間ほど神経症的な身体症状に悩まされており,現実的な課題に取り組むことが困難であった。学生相談では受容的な雰囲気での面談を25回行ったが,初回から夢の報告があり,面接期間中に12の夢が報告された。自発的な夢の報告を聞くことがクライエントを現実的に変容させることと,偶然の一致を多く発生させるほどの深い2者関係が学生相談でも必要であることが考察された。

This paper is a case study of a male student who visited the student counseling center of the university. He had been troubled by physical symptoms caused by neurosis for two years and had problems studying and coping with his daily life. He reported 12 dreams in the course of 25 sessions of the counseling in a receptive atmosphere. The author considers the client's problems from his dreams and discusses the psychological meanings of the dreams, several coincidences, and the relationship between the client and the therapist.
