[要旨]戦前の女性解放運動の一つとしての、婦人参政権獲得運動は市川房枝らによってはじめられ、途中に戦争をはさみながらも継続された。戦後の民主化のなかで女性にも参政権は付与され、1946年4月10日の第22回衆議院議員選挙によって39人の女性議員が誕生した。75年前の女性議員の議会活動を「帝国議会会議録：第90回・第91回・第92回帝国議会衆議院議会」（帝国議会会議録検索システム（ndl.go.jp））を使い検証、その結果から女性が政治に参加する意義と政治分野において現在も続く女性の政界進出の低さの原因を考察した。
