Description

The purpose of this paper is to seek for feasibility of using dramas as teaching materials to nurture pragmatic skills of Chinese learners of Japanese. Recently not only the Chinese government but also the learners are keen on the acquisition of communicative skills, but little has been achieved in developing materials and methods to attain the purpose. / It is known that the learners' own awareness and consciousness can be regarded as one way to improve their pragmatic skills. Based on the previous efforts with the same objective of using the works of story-mange, using some scenes in dramas, this paper aims to find out what kinds of classroom activities can make effective use of the learners' awareness and consciousness. As a result, teaching by focusing on forms, activating the learners' consciousness and enhancing the learners' observation abilities are found to be effective methods for Japanese-language teaching.
