Description

Anticipating synchronization, which is a type of master-slave synchronization, is a prediction phenomenon that is caused by introducing a time-delay element into a self-feedback of the slave system. The slave system in this synchronization scheme can be considered as a closed-loop predictor for the master system. In this paper, we discuss the anticipating synchronization problem for sampled-data Lur'e type systems. Reducing the synchronization problem to the stability problem of the sampled-data prediction error dynamics, we derive a design method of the coupling gain for pre-assigned sampling interval and prediction time in the form of linear matrix inequalities. A numerical example illustrates the validity of the obtained results.
