Abstract

NCP Co., Ltd has developed a Measee system for using the MMG/EMG hybrid sensor in the field of sports and exercise, and has been working on its practical applications. In that regard, it is common laboratory practice to acquire and analyze EMG/dMMG at 1000 Hz; however, since the Measee system transfers the acquired signal via Bluetooth, data transfer is restricted at 10 Hz. To solve this problem, we adopted a method of smoothing the EMG signal in the circuit inside the sensor and then transferring it via Bluetooth. However, it is unclear how the evaluation values obtained by this method are related to values obtained from the FFT analysis in a previous study. Therefore, this study aimed to verify the reliability of the Measee system in the field of sports and exercise. A high correlation coefficient was seen upon comparing the evaluation values of the Measee system with the values from the FFT analysis of a previous study, thus confirming the reliability of the Measee system as an evaluation method.
