Abstract

At present, it is important to supply the standardized format data when various Japanese institution develop the Chinese literatures digitization in Japan. It is difficult to link metadata provided from dif- ferent institutions because various Japanese institutions usually offer their own formats. In addition, it is difficult for the computers to handle them as digital presentations unless they can digitizing elements in a structured way in the full texts, especially with Kunten and Ruby information. In this paper, we focus on the methods how to organize Chinese poetries with a structured model. Based on the structured data of Chinese poetries, we also show a presentation of differences for Chinese poetries as an example of an application of structured data. We focus on Tang poems as research data. Firstly, we extracted data and constructed a Linked Open Data (LOD) model. We built and published the datasets on the web. Secondly, we examined the method of expressing the Kunten and Ruby information in the full texts of Chinese poetry and proposed the digitized expressions using TEI markup. At last, we developed a tool which can compare and present the differences between the two instances of the same Chinese poetry.
