Description

The new coronavirus pandemic that began in early 2020 had a great impact on university education. The campus was closed, in-person classes were no longer possible, and online lessons were rapidly introduced. As of the time of this reporting (July 2021), and three semesters have passed. During this time, the teaching style using IT systems has been improved, and many findings have been accumulated, such as the psychological impact of students and the degree of understanding compared to face-to-face lessons. This report is a summary of the panel discussions by university faculty members who have conducted classes during the Corona disaster. The panel discussion was held at the academic session of the PMI Japan Forum held in July 2021 and covered the transition of the teaching style, the comparison with the face-to-face and online lesson. The results and consideration of the questionnaire are also mentioned.
