<p> Since 2011, the authors have been planning and designing social infrastructure facilities such as roads, hills, and land use planning, and fishery processing complexes as civil engineering and community development engineers who support the town hall in the reconstruction of Megawa Town, Miyagi Prefecture. I have been in charge of planning and coordinating reconstruction town development. During this time, I was conscious of consistently supporting the progress of community development as a "coordinator who translates the discussions between the public and private sectors."</p><p> This paper considers the role of the coordinating organization in community development from the perspective of the author, who has been active as a civil engineering planner and community development coordinator, and its importance.</p>
