Abstract

<p>The community-based professional sports such as J-League has been more popular in Japan, but most of the sports stadiums have been built in suburban area to accommodate sports event such as Kokutai (National Sports Festival). In recent years, we can see cases or plans of building new stadiums in central city area for the purpose of local revitalization by the replacement of decrepit ones. This study aims to examine the realities and problems in the efforts of local revitalization by utilizing stadiums in central city area. At first, this study did questionnaire research for all stadiums in central city area. After that, this study analyzed 4 unique cases, Aore Stadium, MAZDA Zoom-Zoom Stadium, Best Amenity Stadium and Kanko Stadium.</p>
