Abstract
The objective of this study is to clarify the effect of deformation of elements on winding radial displacement. Strain gauges were attached to specific elements to measure the deformation of the elements in width direction. The axial displacement of the sheave was also measured by displacement sensors. The winding radial displacement of belt was calculated referring to displacement of the sheave and deformation of the element. It was found that the influence of deformation of element in width direction was not negligible, while the radial displacement was principally attributed by the tilt of the movable sheave as previous studies mentioned.
