大学基礎課程における物理学実験の改善を意図して, 受講生が物理実験をどのように捉えているかの知見を得るために, 本学, 理科教育講座に在籍する69人の物理学実験受講生(2・3回生)を対象として, 質問紙法によるアンケート調査を行った。質問の内容は物理学実験に関連する24項目からなるものである。調査は物理学実験受講前と受講後の2回同じ内容で行った。得られた結果を統計的に処理・分析することによっていくつかの興味ある結果を得た。物理学実験受講後では, 「講義より実験の方が楽しい」という回答が顕著に増大した。学生達が好む実験項目は, 原理が簡単で実験の目的がはっきりしており, 試行錯誤の操作を繰り返しながら目的を達成する要素を持つ実験が多かった。また, 物理好きを規定する要因についても解析を行い, 学生が経験上で得た物理に対する印象や先入観, 科学観, 社会観が重要な役割をはたしていることが明らかになった。

In order to obtain an information on the improvements of the physics laboratory for college students the questionnaires composed of 24 items as to lessons in physics and their relatives have been given to 69 students belonging to the science-education course of our university. The responses of both questionnaires of pre-and post-taking practices of physics laboratory have been examined in detail in terms of the statistical analysis. A marked increase in the preference of lessons in physics of laboratory-style to that of lecture-style was observed in the post questionnaire. Students' preferable items as to physics laboratory were limited to the themes containing the "trial and error" operations. From the analysis of the dominant factors determined students' "physics-linking" characteristics it was found that their emotional factors such as impression and preconception for physics lessons play a dominant role. A brief discussion is devoted to an effective physics laboratory and some proposals on attractive and comprehensible lessons in physics are also given.
