Abstract
<p>This paper presents a new elastic constant estimation method using the laser ultrasonic visualization testing for anisotropic elastic solids such as uni-directional CFRP(Carbon Fiber Reinforced Plastic). The procedure of our developed elastic constant estimation is described with anisotropic elastodynamic theory. As numerical examples, the elastic constants of a uni-drectional CFRP are estimated by the proposed method. In additon, a time-domain finite element simulation of ultrasonic wave propagation in the CFRP with estimated elastic constants is implemented and the results are compared with those obtained by the laser ultrasonic visualization testing to validate our proposed method.</p>
